Championship Event Final Table Will be Live Streamed on WPT.com

After kicking off 2013 at the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open in Atlantic City, NJ, World Poker Tour heads south for the first of two scheduled trips to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL for the popular Abierto de póquer Lucky Hearts del WPT, beginning February 8th.

Added to the WPT schedule in Season X, this $3,500 buy-in tournament quickly proved to be not only a popular event, but also a favorite destination for players seeking a relaxing, tropical getaway in the dead of winter. Matt Juttlestad, the Season X tournament winner, had a particularly enjoyable time at the event, claiming nearly $270,000 in first-place winnings and adding his name to the prestigious Copa de Campeones WPT.

“Florida has clearly become a poker hotbed,” said WPT CEO, Steve Heller. “Seminole Hard Rock’s amazing property and the fact that so many world-class players call Florida their home should combine to produce an incredible turnout and some thrilling action – both on and off the felt – as players compete for this prestigious title.”

This season’s tournament features a prize pool guaranteed to be worth at least $750,000 and two Day 1s with the opportunity for re-entry through Level 4 of each day. The tournament’s final table will start at 1:30pm ET with a live stream hosted by Tony Dunst starting at 2pm ET on www.WPT.com.

The WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship event is the highlight of the Seminole Hard Rock’s WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Series, which features a total of 26 events running from January 23 – February 12.
