Cuándo WPT Borgata Poker Open: Parte 2 aired last night on FSN at 8pm & 11pm, Fred Goldberg was the chipleader with Bobby Oboodi about 2 million in chips behind him. By the time the episode ended, Oboodi had built a dominating chip lead and Goldberg had slipped well down the chip counts, and it started when he relinquished the chip lead to Oboodi in the above hand.

Here are the chip counts from the beginning of the episode:

1. Fred Goldberg – 12,645,000
2. Bobby Oboodi – 10,565,000
3. Darren Elías – 9,360,000
4. Jin Hwang – 3,440,000
5. Daniel Buzzón – 3,305,000

After the first hand of the episode (shown above), Oboodi moved into the lead when he pushed Goldberg off his hand after a checked flop. Once Oboodi had the lead he kept getting in pots and pushing the table around, building his stack higher and higher as the episode progressed. In one of the sickest beats ever delivered at a WPT final table, Goldberg flopped a set of eights to daniel buzgon‘s A-10 with Buzgon all in for his tournament life. But Buzgon hit runner-runner spades to complete a backdoor flush and double up, further decimating Goldberg’s stack.

Unfortunately for Goldberg, his troubles didn’t end at the poker table. During a hand, some of Oboodi’s fans started chanting “Goldberg” in a seemingly antagonistic way. Goldberg folded his hand and walked directly over to the rail, asking them to knock it off and to show some respect. Many heated words were exchanged and Goldberg was directed back to the table by security as the offending rail birds were directed off set.

After the drama settled down, the action at the table continued but Goldberg’s luck did not improve as he continued to slip down the chip counts. However, Goldberg would manage to outlast at least one more player as Oboodi sent darren elias to the rail in fifth place ($230,610) when Elias’ J-J ran smack into the pocket kings of Oboodi.

At the close of the episode, the chips counts were as such:

1. Bobby Oboodi – 18,695,000
2. Daniel Buzzón – 10,945,000
3. Jin Hwang – 5,370,000
4. Fred Goldberg – 4,285,000

Leaving Oboodi with almost 50% of the chips left in play. With Oboodi that far out in front can anyone catch him? There are only four players remaining at WPT Borgata Poker Open and we will engrave a new name on the Copa de Campeones WPT next Sunday at 8pm and 11pm on FSN, so make sure to tune in or set your DVRs.
