Follow the Leader

3 de diciembre de 2015

Yesterday’s Day 1b saw young Welsh player Joshua Cranfield top the field with a mammoth stack of 176k, a clear 70k ahead of anyone else. For a first attempt at the World Poker Tour Main Event, it was a baptism of fire, with one of the toughest Day 1 fields across European tournaments this year. But Cranfield wasn’t daunted and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

‘It was great – a completely different game to what I’m used to. I’ve played mainly in the UK, but I brought my own game. It’s what you have to do.’

He certainly did. Today’s Day 2 draw doesn’t get any easier for Joshua, with legendary live MTT crusher Steve O’Dwyer to his direct left and Martin Mulsow also at his table.

We look forward to following the leader for what could be the acid test of his tournament chances.
