Phil Hellmuth signed up for this tournament via phone shortly before registration closed at 4:30 pm, but was still on his way from the airport. (Hellmuth just flew in from Las Vegas for this event.)
When Hellmuth got close, a camera crew and two of the Royal Flush Girls (Sunisa and Jennifer) waited at Hellmuth's table to document his arrival. One of the big changes for the World Poker Tour this season is the presence of television cameras from Day 1 of the tournament, and footage from the early days will be incorporated into the television show.

Hellmuth added, "Hopefully I stay a while," and then described the last time he flew in specifically for a WPT tournament (last month's Bellagio Cup) -- he busted out of the tournament quickly, and never even had a chance to check in to his hotel.
