It’s been a year, but the world of poker is slowly turning back to normalcy. New WPT live events are being held, and there’s a date for numerous of the postponed WPT Final Tables. But that doesn’t mean the time for online poker is behind us at WPT. On the contrary, March is going to be bigger than ever before! Get ready for the WPT500 on partypoker!
El WPT500 might be called the World Poker Tour’s little sister, but that’s only referring to its buy-in. The prize pools have always been gigantic, and the WPT500 on partypoker will be no exception.
El $530 buy-in Main Event that starts tomorrow has a lofty $1,000,000 guarantee ensuring high stakes action for anyone making the final table. Starting Sunday at 8:05 pm, the WPT500 on partypoker has eight regular starting days and a turbo flight, all with the option of a single re-entry. After the survivors of the nine starting days combine on Monday, March 15, the final table will be set for Tuesday, March 16, on which a champion will be crowned.
If you’re looking to satellite in, be sure to keep an eye on the partypoker client as you can get in for as cheap as a single cent. Sure, you’ll need to be on top of your game and maybe get lucky a couple of times to be in for just a cent, but the possibility is there. The $0.01 sat offers tickets to the $2.20 sat, with $11 y $66 being the next steps to get into the $530 evento.
Of course, the WPT and partypoker have more in stock than just a Main Event. There’s another $1,000,000 guaranteed event starting right after the starting days of the Main Event finish. The $530 WPT500 Knockout gets underway on Monday, March 15th. The Progressive Knockout event has a similar setup to the Main Event, with eight instead of nine starting days. The final table of the $1,000,000 PKO event is set for March 23rd, the closing day of the festival.
Those are just two of the highlights of the WPT500 on partypoker. For players with a smaller bankroll, there are mini versions of the two tournaments running alongside it with a buy-in of $55: the Super50. The regular Super50 event is tagged with a $250,000 guarantee, while the Super50 Knockout boasts a $400,000 pozo de premios garantizado.
Satelliting into the WPT Super50 event is a fair option as well. The $6.60 sats will get you straight into the $55 buy-in event; you just need to outlast the competition.
For the high rollers out there, the WPT500 offers a $3,200 6-Max con un $150,000 guarantee and a $5,200 7-Max con un $250,000 guarantee. For the fans of the great game of Pot-Limit Omaha, there’s a $530 2-day event starting on March 10th. A $50,000 guaranteed prize pool will for sure attract the attention of PLO fans. Add to that some $215 6-Max Hyper Knockouts, 7-Max turbo’s, and the $1,050 High Roller Knockout, and you have a packed schedule to keep you busy the coming weeks.
